What are your polyester tablecloths like to work with?+
Spun polyester with a matte finish and a soft drape. It is the standard event linen for a reason: it holds a crease out of the press, resists wrinkling through a full day on a table, and does not shine under uplighting the way cheaper satin does. It is also the most forgiving fabric we stock when a room gets crowded and guests lean on tables.
Will the color on my screen match the linen I receive?+
Not exactly. Every monitor and phone renders color differently, and photographs of fabric shift under studio lighting. Use the color names on this page to narrow a shortlist, then come see the real cloth or have us send a swatch before you lock in a wedding palette. Neutrals like oyster, ivory and beige are the ones people most often misjudge on a screen.
How many tablecloths do I need?+
One per table, plus one for every gift, cake, escort card, guest book, catering and DJ table. Those service tables get missed in almost every first draft of an order. If you are layering an overlay on top of a base cloth, count two per table.
What is a linen overlay and when should I use one?+
An overlay is a smaller square or round cloth laid on top of a floor-length base linen so a second color or texture shows on the tabletop while the base still covers the legs. It is the cheapest way to add a second color to a room, and it lets you use a plain neutral base under a bolder top.
Should my tablecloth reach the floor?+
For guest tables at a wedding or gala, yes. Every standard size we stock is cut for a floor-length drop on a 30 inch high table, which is why a 120 inch round goes on a 60 inch table and a 132 inch round goes on a 72 inch table. Short, lap-length linens read as casual and expose table legs and clamps in photographs.
Which linen colors photograph best?+
Warm neutrals and mid-tone colors. Oyster, ivory, beige, khaki and ironwood hold detail in a photograph instead of blowing out under flash the way bright white can. Very dark colors read as black in low light, so navy, eggplant and hunter green only show their color if the room is lit for them. Ask your photographer before committing to white or to a deep jewel tone.
How do you keep tablecloths from blowing around at an outdoor event?+
Weight the table, not the cloth. Cocktail tables with a heavy base hold better than folding ones, and centerpieces with real weight do more than clips. For desert evenings when the wind comes up after sunset, plan on clips at the corners of banquet tables and keep lightweight decor off the ends. Tell us the event is outdoors when you order and we will flag it.
Are all 52 colors available in every table size?+
The core poly range is stocked across the standard round, banquet and cocktail sizes, but inventory in any one color and size moves with the calendar, especially in peak wedding months. Send your date, table count and sizes with your color choices and we will confirm what is actually available rather than promising from a catalog.
What happens if candle wax or red wine gets on a linen?+
Send it back as it is. Do not treat a stain yourself, because the wrong solvent sets it permanently. Our laundry handles wax, wine and food routinely. A charge only comes up when a cloth cannot be recovered, such as a burn hole or a tear. Mention any incident when the order goes back so we can look at it before it hits the wash.
Can I rent just a few tablecloths?+
Yes. Linens are quoted by the piece, so a backyard party ordering eight cloths goes through the same process as a gala ordering six hundred. Send your table count and sizes and we will price exactly what you need.
