What happens when a room full of wedding professionals gets a resort-style makeover? Color, pattern, florals, and a whole lot of personality.
For this WIPA Phoenix networking event, the goal was to create an experience that felt less like a traditional networking event and more like an escape. Inspired by the bright, playful energy of a resort getaway, the design brought saturated color, layered prints, statement florals, and elevated event rentals together at Kimpton Miralina Resort in Scottsdale.

As a rental partner for the event, Epic Party Team helped bring the environment to life with a mix of dining furniture, ceremony seating, and bar pieces that complemented the colorful design.

The design leaned into the idea of bringing a getaway indoors.
Instead of creating a traditional ballroom setup, the space was filled with saturated color, bold patterns, lush florals, and intentional furniture groupings that encouraged guests to mingle, connect, and stay awhile.
The result was a space that felt immersive and distinctly different from a typical networking event. Every detail worked together to create the feeling of stepping into a destination.

For the ceremony, Fin Chairs created clean, comfortable rows while allowing the surrounding florals and colorful design elements to take center stage.
Ceremony seating doesn't have to disappear into the background. The right chair can complement the overall aesthetic while still keeping the focus where it belongs.

For the dining setup, Cascade Sofas were paired with dining tables to create a more relaxed, unexpected approach to event seating.
Rather than relying solely on traditional dining chairs, incorporating sofas into the tablescape brought a residential, resort-inspired feel to the room while still keeping the setup functional for a seated meal.
The Sawyer Ash Dining Tables added warmth and texture, while the combination of furniture styles kept the space from feeling overly formal.
This is one of our favorite ways to approach event design: start with the function you need, then rethink how the furniture can make the experience feel completely different.

The Otis Ash Bar added another natural wood element to the event and helped tie the different furniture pieces together.
With its warm ash finish, the bar works especially well in designs that blend natural textures with more colorful or maximalist details. Here, it helped balance all of the saturated color and pattern throughout the space.

One of the biggest takeaways from this WIPA event was how much atmosphere can change the way guests experience a space.
The furniture wasn't simply there to give guests somewhere to sit. It helped define different areas, create opportunities for conversation, and contribute to the overall feeling of the event.
By combining:
Statement florals
Bold color and layered patterns
Mixed dining and lounge seating
Warm wood furniture
Intentional bar and gathering spaces
A resort-inspired venue
the team transformed the space into something that felt like a destination of its own.
And that's what we love about event rentals. The right pieces don't just fill a room—they help set the mood, define the experience, and bring the design together.
