What is a bar back?+
A bar back is the shelving unit that stands behind a service bar. It holds bottles, glassware, garnish and ice within arm's reach of the bartender, and it closes off the open space behind the bar so guests see a finished setup instead of crates and a blank wall.
Do I need a bar back if I already have a bar?+
If the bar is against a wall or a backdrop, you can often skip it. If the bar is freestanding — in the middle of a ballroom, on a lawn, on a pool deck — a bar back is what makes the setup look intentional from every angle and keeps product off the ground.
What goes on a bar back at an event?+
Bottles and spirits on the upper shelves, glassware and barware at working height, and ice, bins and backstock on the lower shelf or behind it. Plan roughly one bar back per service bar so each bartender has their own station.
Do you deliver bar backs in Phoenix and Scottsdale?+
Yes. We deliver throughout the Phoenix metro from our warehouse in north Phoenix, including Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Glendale, Peoria and Goodyear. Delivery is quoted with your order based on address, access and timing.
Do you set up the bar back, or do we?+
Our crew delivers, positions and levels the bar and back bar as part of the rental, then returns to collect it after the event. You do not need to assemble anything.
Can the bar back be custom branded with our logo?+
Yes. We produce custom branded bar fronts and back bar elements for corporate events, product launches and brand activations. Branded pieces need lead time for production, so bring us artwork as early as you can.
Do you provide bartenders?+
No. Epic Party Team supplies the bar, back bar and glassware; your caterer or a licensed bar service provides the staff and the alcohol. We're happy to coordinate placement and timing directly with whoever is staffing your bar.
Do bar backs work outdoors?+
Yes — they're used constantly on Arizona patios, lawns and pool decks. On grass or decomposed granite, tell us the surface when you book so we can plan leveling. In summer, plan for extra ice capacity behind the bar.
How far in advance should I reserve a bar back?+
Reserve as soon as your date and venue are set. Peak Phoenix event season runs October through April and bar inventory books out first on Saturdays. Custom or branded pieces need the most notice.
How much does it cost to rent a bar back in Phoenix?+
