What problem do dividers actually solve?+
Rooms that are too big. Most venues are booked for the peak headcount, which means for most of the night the event is happening in part of a space that feels empty at the edges. A run of panels pulls the room in to the size of the crowd. They also hide what you do not want seen: a loading corridor, a catering line, a stack of empty crates.
What is the difference between a divider and a fence panel?+
A divider is solid or patterned and blocks the view. A fence panel is open and marks a boundary without hiding anything behind it. Use dividers to conceal, fence panels to define. When do I need stanchions?+
Anywhere a line will form and you would rather it formed in a shape you chose. Registration, a bar at a large event, a photo op, a coat check, the entrance. We stock chrome stanchions in round and square modern, a gold square modern, and retractable rope. Without them guests queue in whatever direction the first person faced.
Chrome, gold or retractable rope?+
Chrome for corporate, conference and anything where the stanchion should be invisible. Gold for galas, weddings and arrivals, where the queue itself is part of the presentation. Retractable rope is the practical one for a line whose shape changes through the night, because you can move it in seconds without rebuilding the run.
What is the pinboard wall for?+
A vertical surface you can pin to, which makes it the answer for a seating display, a photo wall guests add to, a conference poster session, or an interactive moment at an activation. It is one of the few pieces here that guests are meant to touch rather than walk past.
How many panels do I need for a run?+
Measure the span you want covered and divide by the panel width, then add one. The extra is for the end, because a run that stops flush at a corner reads as unfinished, and a panel turned slightly at each end gives the wall a shape and helps it stand. Send us the dimensions and we will work out the count.
Do dividers stand on their own?+
Yes, each piece is freestanding. The thing to plan is where the ends of a run land, since a long straight wall is more stable when it is not perfectly straight. Tell us the surface and whether the run is indoors or out. Outdoors, a solid panel is a sail, and Phoenix evening wind comes up fast after sunset.
Can dividers be decorated or branded?+
The Oxford and Hudson panels give you a flat face for artwork, a seating chart or branding. The pinboard wall takes anything you can pin. The slat and fence ranges take greenery and lighting woven through them rather than mounted on them. Tell us what is going on a panel at booking, because a loaded panel is secured differently from a bare one.
What is the half circle wood slat wall?+
A curved slatted wall rather than a flat one, which is the piece to ask about when you want a backdrop that wraps slightly around what is in front of it. It works behind a sweetheart table, a small stage or a photo moment, and the curve reads considerably better in a photograph than a flat wall behind the same subject.
Should I use dividers or pipe and drape?+
Pipe and drape covers far more width for the money and is the right answer when the job is hiding a whole room edge or a back-of-house area. Dividers are furniture: they look like a designed object rather than a fabric wall, so they belong where guests will see them up close. A large event often uses drape at the perimeter and dividers inside the room.
