Which machines keep the most guests playing at once?+
Head-to-head games. Air hockey, bubble hockey, Giant Battleship and the basketball arcades put two people on a machine and turn the game over in a minute or two. Pac-Man Battle Royale takes four at once. A classic upright cabinet takes one player and a good player can hold it for ten minutes, so a room full of single-player cabinets produces a room full of queues.
Which games draw the longest lines?+
The claw machine and skeeball, consistently, because both feel winnable and both take under a minute. Then the oversized cabinets, which people queue for to be photographed at more than to play. If you are picking three machines for a 200 guest party, pick at least two that turn over fast or the third will be the only one anyone touches.
How loud are arcade machines?+
Loud by design. They were built to be heard across a room that already had twenty other machines in it. That matters more than people expect at a corporate event with speeches, or a wedding where the arcade sits near the dinner tables. Put the games in a separate room, an adjacent patio or the far end of the floor from anywhere anyone has to be heard.
Are the machines on free play?+
Always. Every machine we rent goes out set to free play, so guests walk up and start rather than hunting for quarters, and nobody has to staff a change float or empty a coin box. There is no per-play cost to you or your guests once the machine is on site. If you specifically want coin operation, which occasionally comes up for a fundraiser, tell us and we will set it that way.
What is in the claw machine?+
We stock two versions: a standard crane claw machine and a Cool Prizes model that comes stocked. Ask which one fits your event when you quote it. Whatever goes in, expect a queue: the claw is the single most reliable crowd magnet in the catalog and it costs less than the machines nobody lines up for.
Which titles are the original classic cabinets?+
Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr, Centipede, Frogger, Pac-Man in the yellow cabinet, Ms Pac-Man and the Galaga multicade, plus a sit-down cocktail table cabinet that two people play across. These are the machines that do the work at a corporate party for anyone who was an adult in the eighties, and they are the ones guests photograph.
What is the World's Largest Pac-Man?+
An oversized cabinet running the original game at a scale that makes it a room feature rather than a machine in a corner. We stock it and a matching Space Invaders, plus a Giant Battleship two people play against each other. If your brief is one piece that anchors the space and gets photographed, start with these rather than three normal cabinets.
What is Pac-Man Battle Royale?+
A four-player deluxe cabinet where everyone plays the same maze at once and eats each other. It is the best throughput machine we rent: four guests at a time, short rounds and a crowd watching that becomes the next four. If you rent one machine for a party and want it busy all night, this is it.
Which machines need the most room or ceiling height?+
The basketball arcades and the oversized cabinets are the tall ones, and basketball needs clear space in front for the shooter plus the ball return arc. Racing and sit-down cabinets need depth rather than height. Send us the room, the door dimensions and any ceiling restriction and we will tell you what fits before it is on a truck.
Which games suit a mixed-age crowd?+
Skeeball, air hockey, Whac a Mole and the claw machine work for anyone from eight to eighty and need no explanation. Classic cabinets skew to adults who grew up with them. Big Buck Hunter, Golden Tee and the racing cabinet skew to a particular kind of guest who will monopolise them. VR is the one to watch with a general crowd, because it is one person at a time with a queue watching someone wave their arms.
