Carpet Runner Rentals in Phoenix, Arizona

Frequently Asked Questions

Details to help plan your carpet quote

How long is a carpet runner?+
Twenty-five feet per section, in either a 4ft or a 6ft width. Measure the actual walk rather than guessing, from the curb or the door to the point where guests are released into the room, and remember the runner should start before the first photograph is taken, not at the threshold.
Can runners be joined for a longer entrance?+
Yes. Sections lay end to end for whatever length the entrance needs. Tell us the total run when you order so we bring the right count and so the seams land somewhere sensible rather than in the middle of the spot where everyone stops to be photographed.
4ft or 6ft wide?+
Four feet for a single file walk, an aisle or a tight corridor. Six feet when two people walk side by side, which covers a couple entering, a red carpet arrival with a handler, and any entrance where a photographer needs to back up along the run. If guests will be posing on it, take the six.
Does red carpet only work for red carpet events?+
No, though it carries the association and that is often the point. Red reads as arrival and ceremony, which is why it works for galas, award nights and premieres. White is the wedding aisle default. Black is the corporate and modern choice and it hides traffic better than any other colour over a long night.
Can carpet be printed with our logo?+
Yes. We stock a custom printed carpet, and it is the version that makes sense for a brand activation or a sponsored arrival, where the walk itself becomes the branded surface in every photograph taken at the door. Send artwork early, because printing is produced rather than pulled off a shelf.
Can runners be used outdoors?+
Yes, and most Phoenix arrivals are partly outdoors. Tell us the surface, because pavers, concrete, decomposed granite and grass each secure differently. A runner on DG picks up grit that ends up inside, so plan where the transition happens rather than running it all the way from a gravel lot.
How is a runner kept from moving or tripping people?+
We secure the edges as part of the setup, and the method depends on the surface. This matters more than it sounds: a runner at an entrance is the single highest-traffic four feet of the whole event, everyone walks it in the first twenty minutes, and half of them are in heels and looking at a camera rather than the floor.
What is custom order carpet?+
Carpet cut to a size or colour we do not hold in stock, for a full floor rather than a runner, or for a colour that has to match a brand exactly. It is ordered rather than pulled from inventory, so it needs the most lead time of anything on this page. Start the conversation as soon as the floor plan is settled.
Which colour for a wedding aisle?+
White, in almost every case, and 4ft wide unless the couple walks in together. The exception is an outdoor desert ceremony, where white shows every bit of dust within an hour and black or a runner-free aisle often photographs better. Ask your planner what the ground actually looks like before committing to white.
How much runner do I need?+
Measure the walk and add the approach. The most common mistake is ordering exactly the distance from door to room and ending up with a runner that starts after the step-and-repeat, so guests are photographed standing on bare concrete. Send us the distance and where the photographs will be taken and we will tell you the sections.
