What makes a piece outdoor furniture rather than indoor furniture moved outside?+

Pool decks are fine, though we will ask how close to the edge the plan puts things.
What happens if the sprinklers run overnight?+
This is the question nobody asks and everyone should. Most venue irrigation runs in the small hours, and a lounge left in the overspray comes back wet through the cushions. If your furniture is staying out overnight, ask the venue to hold the zone the lounge sits in. It is a two-minute conversation that saves the second day of a multi-day event.
Do the cushions need to come inside?+
For a single evening event, no. For a multi-day build, or anywhere with irrigation or a real chance of rain, yes, and it is worth planning who does it before the night it matters. Cushions are the part of an outdoor lounge that shows a bad night. The frames are fine.
Which pieces handle direct Phoenix sun best?+
Cane and natural wood frames with light cushions. Dark cushions absorb heat and get genuinely uncomfortable to sit on by mid-afternoon in summer, which is the same reason we steer daytime events toward the lighter finishes in bars and tables. For an afternoon event with no shade, pair the furniture with a pergola or umbrellas rather than hoping guests tough it out.
Can I mix outdoor and indoor furniture at the same event?+
Yes, and most events with an indoor room and an outdoor terrace do exactly that. Keep the two ranges in their own areas rather than mixing them inside one grouping, because the frames and cushion weights read differently side by side. If you want the two zones to feel connected, repeat a colour across both rather than repeating a piece.
What is the Cane Montauk L sofa for?+
Corners. Light and heat, in that order. Once the sun goes down an unlit seating area stops getting used, and once the temperature drops in the evening an unheated one empties.
