Frequently Asked Questions
Details to help plan your plant rentals quote
Should I use desert plants or tropical greenery for my event?+
Desert species such as agave, prickly pear, barrel cactus, and cane yucca tell guests they are in Arizona, which matters most for destination weddings and conferences where attendees flew in. Tropical and traditional greenery such as monstera, fern, banana, and fig pulls a room toward garden or conservatory instead. We stock both, and the choice comes down to whether the room should look like where it is.
What plants work best at a Phoenix resort or desert venue?+
Desert species extend the existing landscape onto your event floor rather than competing with it, which is why cactus and agave tend to look right at Scottsdale and Paradise Valley resorts. If the venue already has heavy landscaping you like, use large pieces sparingly at entrances and stages and let the property do the rest.
What sizes of trees do you rent?+
Our large pieces include olive trees, palms, fishtail palm, and faux cedar trees available in 4ft and 6ft. These are the plants that change a room's architecture rather than decorate it, and they work best flanking entrances, marking aisle ends, framing a stage, or screening a service door or blank wall.
Can plant rentals be used as centerpieces?+
Yes. Mini agave, mini cactus, mini succulent, and mini snake plant come in ceramic pots sized for tabletops, and we also rent succulent arrangements in small, medium, and large. They hold up through a long evening better than cut flowers and tend to read as appropriate at corporate dinners where elaborate florals feel like the wrong signal.
Where do plants make the biggest difference in an event space?+
Entrances and check-in areas give the highest return, because that is where guests form a first impression and where photos get taken. After that: the corners of lounge groupings, the area around bars where vertical space goes empty, the sides of stages and photo backdrops, and anywhere the venue has something you would rather guests not notice.
Do rented plants need watering or care during the event?+
Our crews deliver, place, and collect the plants, so you are not responsible for maintaining them across a one or two day event. If your event runs longer or the plants sit outdoors in heat, tell us the timeline when you book and we will advise on what that requires.
Do the plants come in pots or planters?+
Yes. Our mini plants come in ceramic pots, and house plants are available in white pot and black pot versions. For the larger species and trees, tell us the look you are going for when you request a quote and we will walk through what container options are available for the pieces you want.
How do plants read at an evening event?+
After dark, plants register as silhouettes rather than as detail, which means an unlit tree disappears. Uplighting a large cactus or an olive tree does considerably more for the room than the plant does on its own. Plan the lighting for your plant placements at the same time you plan the plants.
Can plants be used to hide or screen part of a venue?+
Yes, and this is one of the most practical uses. A pair of trees screens a service door, a load-in corridor, an electrical panel, or an unattractive wall faster and with less labor than draping the same area. It also looks intentional rather than like something is being covered up.
How many plants do I need?+
Rather than a count, think in three layers: large pieces at entrances and the perimeter to set the frame, mid-size plants to define zones and fill gaps, and small pots on tables to carry the same material down to eye level. Send us your floorplan and what you want the space to feel like and we will build the list.
